Second half Rally Lifts Queens past Molloy

Led by Chole Johnson, who had a game high 24 points, the Queens College  Knights defeated the Molloy Lions 72-63, Saturday afternoon at Quealy Gym on the campus of Molloy College . The Lions were led by Delmar Reece who  had 13 points, 12 rebounds, and 9 assists. With the loss the Lions fall to 6-8 in ECC play.
Molloy started the game with a 7-0 lead . The Knights responded with a 10-3 lead to tie the game at 10. The teams would trade baskets until Amanada Bartlett, the ECC's leading scorer, hit a lay-up in the winding seconds of the first half. At the half the Knights led Molloy 31-30.
Queens College opened up their biggest lead of the game six ,49-43,  when Bartlett hit a lay-up. The Lions would cut the lead to two, 59-57, when sophomore Ikema Ross hit a lay-up. The Knights would hit their foul-shots down the stretch to seal the victory.
Sophomore Christina Marra led the Lions in the second half with 11 points.
The Lions return to action on Wednesday when they travel to play the first place St. Thomas Aquinas Spartans.
